Cool music experiences: Performed an encore with The Chieftains along with Charlotte musicians at Belk Theater; saw Jimi Hendrix from the front row of the Charlotte Coliseum; sat at Steve Morse's feet while he and the Dregs performed in a Charlotte club; I get to share a music room with Gary Greene

Past jobs: Full Time Teacher with Clover School District, Commercial Salmon Fisherman Mate, worked construction and worked in a mill

Education: B.A. in music degree from Winthrop University in 2001. Studied percussion under Dr. B. Michael Williams. Performed with Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Combo Group, and played in pep band for the Winthrop Eagles Basketball team. Chosen to represent Winthrop University as the featured performer at the 1999 South Carolina Day of Percussion.

 

General career info: Has performed throughout the Southeast with several bands for the past 25 years and is currently an active performer in the Carolinas. Has recorded drum tracks for many artists and projects in the Charlotte-metro area at various recording studios. Has been teaching drums and percussion in Charlotte since 2002.
